RECOGNITION FOR TRAINING 2000 July 2009

Lancashire training provider, Training 2000, with centres in Blackburn, Nelson, Rawtenstall and Blackpool, has cause for celebration as the company receives a host of accolades, reinforcing its place as one of the North West’s leading training providers.

Training 2000 achieved the Training Quality Standard (TQS) with excellence in Engineering last year, and has just received the certification for excellence in both Automotive and Healthcare. The TQS was developed to give employers a simple benchmark for choosing training provision. Achieving the standard demonstrates providers’ ability to offer high quality training at a time and place to suit employers – setting them apart from the competition and making it easy for employers to find the right training solutions for them.

The organisation has also once again proved its dedication to its 300 strong workforce by being awarded the prestigious Investors in People re-accreditation. This is a significant achievement and it highlights that as a company they invest in employees and they are dedicated to the development of their staff.

The company has also highlighted its green credentials by achieving the Environmental Standard ISO14001, responding to calls from Government for companies to minimise their impact on the environment.

Steve Gray, Chief Executive at Training 2000 comments: “We are thrilled to be achieving awards like Investors in People, TQS and ISO14001. It is so important that our community is aware of our commitment to being a first class training provider and employer. These recognitions underpin our ethos; to excel at what we do, and to have a workforce that is passionate and committed to their work.

“Our TQS success is particularly poignant as I believe training is at the heart of any successful enterprise, and by bringing training providers and employers together to deliver economically valuable skills and qualifications, high quality training can be accessible for all.

“I am confident in saying that Training 2000 is going from strength-to-strength, and these achievements are testament to the quality of the provision we deliver.”
