Sumo Glove ‘Operator of the Year’ Sept 08

Training 2000’s Mechanical Handling department are celebrating success after one of its learners has won the regional finals of the RTITB – Sumo Glove ‘Operator of the Year’ competition. Brian Foster, a process operator at the nuclear fuel manufacturing site at Springfield, was nominated for the award as a result of his achievements on the Fork-Lift Truck training programme that he has undertaken at the Blackpool site.

Brian won the award after he beat eight other candidates from across the Northwest, he will now go forward to the National finals at RTITB’s Telford headquarters in September.
