Due to a significant increase in the number of Engineering Apprentices recruited this year along with the request to deliver Apprenticeship programmes on a national basis for employers that include Royal Mail, United Utilities and Chubb Security a number of vacancies have arisen within the Company’s Operations Organisation (Engineering Department). Applicants will primarily be responsible for overseeing the development of Apprentices working within our customer base through the delivery and assessment of off-the-job and work based activity. The positions require self motivated and effective team players who possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
A teaching/assessor qualification, although not essential, would be a definite advantage and applicants must have completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship in one of the following skill areas:
Electrical Maintenance
Mechanical Maintenance
Machining (inc experience of CNC Machining)
Welding and Fabrication

Training 2000 Limited is a charitable trust set up by a consortium of Lancashire businesses and is now one of the largest Group Training Associations in England. We now have over 40 years' experience of delivering high quality work-based learning and training programmes to industry and individuals. We have grown to more than 250 staff and four centres across the North West, whilst working with national employers across a wide range of sectors.
The Commercial Team are an integral part of the Company, and an exciting opportunity has now arisen within this team for a Health & Safety Trainer. The primary function of the role will be in the delivery of external commercial and internal training courses. This is a permanent position based from the Blackburn site, but will involve travel to customer premises on a regional and sometimes national basis, and therefore a full driving licence will be an essential prerequisite for this role.
Due to this primary function, the incumbent will be skilled and experienced in the delivery of bespoke and accredited Health and Safety training courses. The role will also involve working with the team manager to develop bespoke courses in new sectors, including the design of content and working with awarding bodies to gain status as an accredited provider. It will involve significant planning and working closely with administrators to ensure all preparations are meticulous in order to deliver courses with ultimate professionalism.
The ideal applicant will be qualified to NVQ Level 4 in Health & Safety, or hold the NEBOSH General Certificate and will hold at least a “PTLLS” or equivalent teaching qualification. Continuous Professional Development opportunities will be provided as appropriate.

We have a number of vacancies in the North West and South East for Career Development Advisors (assessor of apprenticeships)
The successful candidates will be responsible for all aspects of recruiting and assessing learners on the Apprenticeship programme. Duties will include training and assessing learners on the Health and Social Care Diplomas and the full apprenticeship framework at all levels, including key skills, and carrying out regular reviews to help them complete their programme in a timely fashion.
You will require excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills and you must be qualified in Care to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent. You must also possess the D32/D33 or A1 equivalent qualification. D34 or V1 equivalent along with teaching qualifications and experience would be an advantage. You must be able to assess they key skills element of the framework. Experience of using Learning Assistant would be a distinct advantage.
The post will involve substantial travel and occasional over night stays. The roles are predominantly home based and come with a mobile, laptop and competitive salary.
Appointments will be made initially on an 11 month fixed term contract, with the intention of becoming permanent on successful completion of the contract. Skills for Life Tutor
A vacancy has arisen within the Dental Dept for Skills for Life Tutor.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key skills at level 2 to apprentices both youth and adult in order to achieve Dental Apprenticeship framework at level 3. Duties will include formal classroom delivery some of which will be carried out during the evening, as well as one to one training, assessing portfolios and carrying out regular reviews to help them complete their programme.
You will require good communication; organisational and administrative skills and you must have a teaching qualification and skills for life subject specialism in either literacy or numeracy or be willing to work towards this.
The post will involve a degree of travel throughout the northwest a current driving licence and availability of own vehicle is therefore essential.
Knowledge of the Dental Sector would be advantageous but not essential.
