Head of Business Development
Business Administration Apprentice Naomi, chose the apprenticeship route over college as she liked the idea of learning whilst working and earning a wage.
She secured a placement at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in the Pathology Department. Naomi has gone above her administrative duties and this includes learning about different testing that is done through the laboratories such as Bloods, Fertility, Cellular Pathology and Microbiology.
Naomi said of her apprenticeship, ” this is something that I really enjoy because we all work as part of a team and you are always experiencing new things”.
Since taking up the position of Chief Executive at Training 2000 in June last year I have been focusing with my team on driving the business into a new era of customer led, customer focused high quality apprenticeships and training delivery. After a period of significant change within our business we are delighted to say that the positive impact of this change has been officially recognised by Ofsted.
It is therefore with great pleasure that I can announce, after a delay due COVID-19, the result of our March Ofsted inspection has now been published and confirms that we are an Ofsted GOOD Provider! I am incredibly proud of each and every member of the Training 2000 team, our magnificent learners and our amazing employers. Achieving an Ofsted GOOD grade requires that all these parties contribute and I am eternally grateful to you all for playing your part.
Having spent 17 years in the Further and Higher Education sector I can say with confidence that Training 2000 is indeed an amazing place with amazing people. We will now be looking to build on this great result and the feedback from Ofsted to achieve an Outstanding grade at our next inspection.

It is vital to us that our
Learners still receive the same quality of teaching, learning and support during
this difficult time.
Through the use of Microsoft Teams’
we have been able to ensure that apprentices are still engaged and continuing
their learning journey through a variety of methods which meet both their
individual needs and their job roles.
These activities include live
learning sessions with their tutors with individual 1:1 access and support after
the learning session has taken place. In some cases these sessions have been
recorded so our learners in key worker roles can access them at a time
convenient to them. Continuous chat access ensures that our delivery staff can
provide on-going advice and support when it is needed.
On-line 1:1 and group sessions
are taking place for those learners who are finding the live sessions
difficult, where they are being provided with resources and support that guides
them though targeted tasks and assignments.
Our CDA’s and Training
officers are still providing their expert knowledge and support through
One-File, Teams, email and phone calls so that Learners can still progress.
Managers are working with End
Point Assessment Organisations to ensure that wherever possible we can
facilitate EPAs for those learners coming to the end of their apprenticeship
