Lisa Bloomfield – Head of Contracts and Quality

Lisa joined Training 2000 almost 20 years ago in July 1999 as the Programme Manager for the then new Foundation department and later went on to be the Director of Foundation. Lisa left the Government Funding Agency to join Training 2000, where she had been a Contract Manager for the previous 7 years supporting and auditing local training providers. Lisa has held a Senior Management role here for 15 years and is passionate about the company, the people and the learners.

Lisa currently is Head of Contracts and Quality and accountable for ensuring the business demonstrates compliance; setting standards, auditing, monitoring, reporting, risk management health, safety and environment and advising on risk mitigation. Lisa leads on the Government contract with the ESFA covering the Apprenticeship and Study Programmes ensuring systems and processes are in place to comply with the funding rules and that delivery at least meets Ofsted’s standards with operational excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.

Lisa is the Designated Safeguarding Lead and is responsible for safeguarding arrangements for which she drives relentlessly. Lisa is very proud of the achievements of the safety and safeguarding teams.

Lisa is the Chair of Lancashire Work Based Learning Forum which supports members to raise the profile and quality of work based learning opportunities in Lancashire. She is also the Vice Chair of Blackburn with Darwen’s Local Safeguarding Children’s Board.

When not at work Lisa likes spending time with friends and family often socialising and camping.

Chris Stott – Head of Business Development

Chris joined the Training 2000 team in December 2018 having been in the further and higher education sector for 15 years. Chris began his career in manufacturing completing a printing apprenticeship and becoming a Production Manager within Europe’s largest printing company. In 2003 Chris decided to take a change of career direction and to impart some of the knowledge and experience he had gained over 20 years in industry. He qualified as a teacher and assessor and began teaching at a local FE College. Since then Chris has moved on to project manage large scale national training projects and worked in partnership with some of Britain’s largest employers. Chris remains passionate about the power of training and the value the apprenticeships bring to businesses and the UK economy and above all the opportunity they offer to the individual.

Chris is a music geek, football fan and outdoor enthusiast.

Liza Sullivan – Head of Rolls-Royce Operations

Liza joined Training 2000 in August 2013 working with Rolls-Royce to implement competency based training and to lead the Customer Apprentice and Graduate teams. In her current role for Training 2000 as Head of Rolls-Royce Operations, she is responsible for leading the teams at Rolls-Royce in Derby, Bristol, Birmingham and Scotland, whilst also a member of the Training 2000 Senior Leadership team who has supported creation of the company strategy and is now driving the delivery of the commercial business plans.

Liza has over 20 years’ Leadership experience in Manufacturing Operations Management with a Black Belt in Lean operations. She has a real passion for coaching and people development and enjoys helping people to succeed within their role.

Her role within the team is to provide effective Leadership for the Rolls-Royce operation ensuring Training 2000 provide a first class service to our customers and to further support the development of commercial business growth. She is excited to be working with a strong and focused Senior Leadership team who will drive positive and sustainable change within the Training 2000 organisation.

Liza strongly believes if we look after our people then they will look after our business. She loves travel, reading and music and enjoys spending time socialising with family and friends.

Warren McAleny – Head of Finance

Warren joined Training 2000 towards the end of 2014 and was brought in to support the Finance Director with commercial forecasting and budgets.  He was made Head of Finance in 2017 and is now responsible for overseeing all the charity’s finances, following the merger with UCLan.

As an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Warren has over 15 years’ accounting experience in public and private sector businesses such as Construction, Retail, FMCG and Insurance, and has held a number of leading positions throughout his career.

Warren’s role on the Senior Management Team is to support and advise the Leadership Team around the area of financial oversight and management that will stabilise and shape the direction of the charity.  He also represents Training 2000 with Group finance matters and makes every effort to get out from behind the spreadsheets to deliver face-to-face finance and banish the ‘myths and jargon’ from all things finance.

Outside of work Warren is a passionate Liverpool fan who was quoted as saying “I will trade all my Excel software for a Premiership title”.  His second passion is his family who keep him active and very much grounded.
