Training 2000 over the moon to attain IMechE accreditation

Training 2000 are delighted to announce that our fantastic Engineering Department have successfully attained Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) accreditation for their Apprenticeship courses.

IMechE came to present the Apprentice Affiliate Scheme to our learners and present us with our Approved Certificate.

The formal recognition that our Engineering programmes meet the requirements of IMechE allows learners to sign up for Affiliate membership and access a wealth of resources to help them with their programme.

Furthermore, upon completion of their Higher Apprenticeship, they can register for “Technician Status” which is both internationally and nationally recognised. This provides them with much improved employment prospects, both here and abroad as well as letters they can use after their names to denote their status.

Carl Fogarty Presents Engineering Apprentices with Awards at Glittering Ceremony

Carl Fogarty, who was crowned the King of the Jungle and had an illustrious career as a champion World Superbike racer, presented trophies to talented apprentices for their achievements at Training 2000’s annual Engineering Awards.

As well as presenting awards, Carl Fogarty took part in a Q & A session, where he talked to learners about his experiences and about the dedication it takes to succeed.

Training 2000’s engineering manager, Paul Duerden, said:

“The annual Engineering Awards are always a great way to reward our learners’ efforts and Carl was a delightful guest. They all work very hard, show commitment and determination and we believe this should always be recognised.

“The calibre of learners this year was very high as usual and it is clear that the future of engineering is bright.”

The event took place at UTC Lancashire, in Burnley and was a huge success.
